Holy Child Institute: A Roman Catholic, Christian Minority School in the Archdiocese of Calcutta.
Holy Child Institute is permanently affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE)
and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE). Established in 1938, the school
is administered by the Sisters of Charity of Calcutta Province.
Medium of Instruction:
The school offers instruction in both English and Bengali mediums.
• English Medium: English is the medium of instruction, with English as the first language and
Bengali as the second language.
• Bengali Medium: Bengali is the medium of instruction, with Bengali as the first language and
English as the second language.
Motto: The school's motto is "Glory of God and Good of Humanity."
Parent should carefully read about the pedagogy, values and regulations of the school before taking
admission.
After submission kindly download the filled in Admission Form and submit it in the school office on
the date and time mentioned, along with mandatory documents, they are Xerox copy of the Birth
Certificate of the candidate, Aadhaar Card, hospital discharge certificate of the mother & , Report
card of previous class.
One copy each of recent passport size photographs of child and both parents.

Classes KG II to VIII : Admission Test (previous class): English, Bengali & Maths
Class XI Humanities, Science & Commerce: MP Result/ Test result
K.G. (KG I & K.G II) : Admission Form will be available in the month of September
Primary (Class I – IV) : Admission Form will be available in the month of December
Secondary (Class V – VIII) : Admission Form will be available in the month of December
Higher Secondary (Class XI Humanities, Science & Commerce) :

KG I : 4 years and above but less than 5 years.
KG II : 5 years and above but less than 6 years
CClass I : 6 years and above but less than 7 years
Class II : 7 years and above but less than 8 years
Class III : 8 years and above but less than 9 years
Class IV : 9 years and above but less than 10 years
Class V : 10 years and above but less than 11 years
Class VI : 11 years and above but less than 12 years
Class VII : 12 years and above but less than 13 years
Class VIII : 13 years and above but less than 14 years
Classes KG : 10:30 a.m. to 01:10 p.m. (Monday to Saturday)
Classes I- IV : 06:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. (Monday to Saturday)
Classes V-X : 10:30 a.m. to 04:20 p.m. (Monday to Friday)
Classes XI-XII : 10:30 a.m. to 04:20 p.m. (Monday to Thursday)
The filling up of the admission form does not guarantee admission as we have limited seats.
Admission processing fee is ₹300 which is not refundable.
Only one form per candidate either English or Bengali Medium and not both.
Parents seeking to exercise any form of influence including a recommendation by or through any person
including any agents or persons, styling themselves as management representatives for securing
admissions will be disqualified
The school does not encourage any agents or management representatives for securing admissions.
Please beware of any impostors. Dealings with such people posing as agents / management
representatives will be at your own risk and will not be binding on the school / management.
In case, any information / particular furnished in the admission form for seeking admission to the school
is found to be incorrect or misleading, the management reserves the right to cancel the admission, even
after admission is granted.
Acceptance of guidelines, submission of online form and payment of admission fee will be construed as
acceptance of all instructions / rules / regulations / policies and information and that you
unconditionally agree to abide by the same throughout the tenure of your child in the school.
